Role: Sr Oracle DBA Location: Manassas, VA Please share resumes to pgo AT THE RATE OF Comtech-global DOT COM The Platform Services Operations team is looking for a motivated and solution focused, hands-on Senior Database Administrator to join them to boost effectiveness and accelerate delivery flow. Based in Manassas, VA, you will be working alongside a dynamic team of Oracle DBA experts. Your team is fully responsible for the design, optimization and operations of the database environment. This DevOps team engages in the product evolution; covering software architecture, development, quality assurance, security, operations and IT infrastructure aspects. Required Skills: • Sr Oracle DBA – 5-7yrs of experience • Exadata • CI/CD – Bitbucket, Ansible, Jenkins. Docker (nice to have but not a must) • RHEL + HP-UX (they are moving to RHEL) • Must have strong scripting: Python and Shell Scripting • GoldenGate • DataGuard Responsibilities: • Deploy database systems, Install Oracle, Install Schema • Setup DataGuard application between the sites • Make Database corrections • This team deals w/ everything Infrastructure • Deploying multi-database systems, from the ground, up • Setting up GoldenGate, DataGuard • Encryption – Passwords - Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) Technical Skills & Knowledge: Requires 5-7 years of experience in a Database deployment and operational support activities Experience working with the following: • Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 12.1, 12.2 and 19c. Partitioning and multi-tenancy options on RHEL Platform • Knowledge on HP-UX systems is preferable • Exadata engineered systems and DBs hosted on RHEL platform • DataGuard for Disaster Recovery (DR) • GoldenGate for data replication • Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) • Database Vault for stricter access control • Knowledge of any of these CICD technology: Jenkins, Ansible, Docker • Good knowledge of IT security, mainly in the DBA area • Expert level in scripting languages like shell & python. • Oracle Database 19c/12c Administrator Certified Associate (OCA) or Professional (OCP) is an added plus. • Knowledge of TLS/SSL and configuration of Oracle Wallet Responsibilities: • Organize and control day-to-day database administration, deployment/management activities to include: new database platform build, database health data collection and analysis, database access and performance analysis. • Resolve complex problems by investigating and devising solutions for database operations. • May include installations, configuration, tuning and maintenance of database management. • Interact with network services, database/software systems engineering and/or applications development in order to restore availability of services and/or identify root cause of complex problems. • Define and implement recommendations for complex issues in the area of database management systems. • Able to come On-site visit for production deployment and support activities. • On-call rotation for database systems. • Opportunity to develop yourself and others in a true DevOps agile environment.
