Scope of Work • Environmental mapping of eighty-three (83) Hosts currently running RHEL 6.0  Current state configuration & code documentation  Manufacturer recommended OS version vs. current  Roadmap to suggested version upgrade **7.0/8.0 • Document features & functionalities within all possible version upgrades  Architectural compliance review specific to OS and applications  Operational compliance with best practices review • Application mapping  Document applications within the UNIX environment  Application analysis to ensure each is capable of migrating to more recent RHEL version code • UNIX Staff assessment  Determine if the staff that supports the environment is adequate  Skills review  Certification review  Workload efficiency review • The client provides certain deliverables to the OBWC UNIX team  Document expected deliverables  Determine if OIT is providing the expected deliverables  Timeliness and reliability of deliverables  Potential gap analysis of expectations vs. reality of these deliverables • Desired outcomes  Detailed analysis illustrating the current state of the UNIX environment  Recommendations regarding activities to modernize the environment and ensuring it is at manufacturer standards and operating on a current, tested, and supportable code version.  Road map that illustrates the current state and what remediation and/or updates are suggested to move this environment to a future state which focuses on reliability, scalability, and peak performance  Analysis of current UNIX support staff and recommendations specific to suggested skills and certifications.  Analysis of OIT deliverables
