Job Title: Six Sigma Consultant Location: Cincinnati, Ohio - remote Duration: Long term Local candidates are preferred Please send 3 references along with submission Job description: The FHLB administers grants for the acquisition, rehabilitation and/or new construction of affordable housing primarily in Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee through its competitive AHP. Through its AHP, FHLB provides grants up to $1 million per project and funds both rental and homeownership projects. Following receipt of an award, a Sponsor, which is typically a non-profit organization, completes the development of the project and then requests disbursement of its AHP award. The Six Sigma consultant will review the FHLB’s AHP Disbursement process, including how the FHLB collects information, analyzes that information and then acts on it (i.e., determines if the completed project meets the agreed upon criteria to warrant disbursement of funds). The consultant will work with FHLB staff to understand regulatory requirements for disbursement of funds, FHLB specific requirements for disbursement of funds, requirements of other project funders and the steps necessary to complete a disbursement. Currently, FHLB staff are conducting a similar review and the consultant will work with staff to help refine areas that can be streamlined and generate new ideas with regards to how the FHLB completes the disbursement process. The consultant will also help educate staff on ways to analyze processes within the Six Sigma protocol, so that staff can review other HCI processes and begin streamlining those as well. • Review FHLB’s AHP Disbursement process • Recommend opportunities to streamline the AHP disbursement process • Educate HCI staff on how to evaluate processes for improvement/streamlining • Review other business processes as time and cost permit Six Sigma Consultant will need to have experiences to be considered an ideal candidate for this position. • Familiarity with the Federal Home Loan Bank System • Six Sigma Certification • Familiarity with the Affordable Housing Program
