Please share resumes to pgo AT THE RATE OF Comtech-global DOT COM • Monitor system performance and identify/resolve problems that arise • Protect databases against threats and/or unauthorized users by establishing and maintaining security policies • Set up and test new database and data handling systems • Ensure a backup system is established in case of server failure • Continuously liaison with other IT employees to ensure database maintenance and improvements are properly complete • Maintain and track trends and developments within databases • Understand and implement databases that reflect internal and external needs • Report and maintain metrics regarding usage and performance of databases • Respond in a timely manner to user-reported errors • Install and test new implementations to current databases • Ensure storage and archiving procedures are functioning properly • Update and train current and new employees in how to input and extract data • Support development staff, participating in the software development lifecycle for code reviews and production implementations. • Create complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted • Any other responsibilities assigned by management Requirements • Proficient in T-SQL, experience in Oracle is a plus • A proven history of database implementation experience • Experience migrating data from one server to another, using SSIS • Ability to maintain databases and identify areas of improvement • Ability to think analytically in a pressure filled environment • Highly organized and responsible Excellent verbal and communication skills
