Core Functions
General

Payroll
Review timekeeping information for all employees
Process weekly payroll for 350 employees, with the possibility of more as the company grows
Calculate pay according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime
Calculate bonuses, commissions and severance payments
Manage and calculate taxes and deductions
Update payroll records by entering adjustments on pay rates, employee status changes etc.
Handle with inquiries regarding payroll from employees and supervisors
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll
Prepare and submit reports with payroll information
Open and apply for new payroll/tax accounts in new states/localities/municipalities as the company grows
Provide other ad hoc reporting and analysis as necessary to support the organization.
401K
Distribute enrollment kits and add/update deferral rates for current participants
Distribute distribution packets and process distribution requests for former participants
Process 401k loan requests
Distribute required plan notices to plan participants
Review and maintain beneficiary forms
Other
Serve as liaison for Corporate Credit Card and Fuel Card accounts with Payroll Manager
Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Payroll Administrator position does not have a formal supervisory role
Qualifications
Proven experienced payroll clerk
Familiarity with general accounting principles
Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality
Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and regulations
Computer savvy with working knowledge of Excel and
relevant software (e.g. ADP)
Exquisite math and numerical skills
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving
High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in accounting/business administration is a plus
Comfort dealing with ambiguity and ability to work independently
