Job Description:
Ohio Department of Job and Family service is looking for candidate to function as a SME on enterprise systems, with advance skills in administering WebSphere Application Server, cloud system administration (including Azure, AWS, and Google) and containerized application platform on Linux / AIX. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a multi-tier and multi-platform enterprise class environments.
- 8-10 hours per day
- M-F, JFS core hours: 7a-6p (any 8-10 hours w/in those times)
- Subject to On-Call (we have an on-call rotation)
Knowledge
• Strong knowledge of Unix, Linux, Windows operating system and system administration tasks
• Highly available vertical / horizontal scaling, disaster recovery capabilities
• Single Sign On, network load balancer, firewall, IP subnets.
• On-Prem monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace,
• Cloud monitoring capabilities like Azure Monitor
• CI/CD pipelines: Ansible, Jenkins, Nexis, Mavin, Bitbucket etc.)
• Version control subsystem like: Git, Subversion, etc

• Experience supporting and participating in 24 X 7 on-call weekly rotation.

Communicate with clients, assisting them with their needs to ensure client satisfaction. Communicate the deployment/release schedule, release artifacts, priorities, and status to all stakeholders.

Abilities
WebSphere
• Perform upgrades, patches, and fix security issues.
• Monitor application performance, system performance, troubleshoot and diagnose issues and implement fixes
• Work closely with the development teams to design solutions, deploy and maintain application.
• Install, configure and deploy new WebSphere application servers on AIX and Linux
• Write and deploy shell scripts, automate tasks.
• Experience with one or more webserver setup Apache, IBM Http Server and IIS
• Experience working with SSL and application security in WebSphere.
• Troubleshoot, collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Participate in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies of new technologies.
• Experience administering platforms like MuleSoft, RabbitMQ, Docker / Podman, Promethus, Azure CI / CD.
Containers and Cloud Management
• Work with cloud platforms Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
• Experience support SaaS products in the cloud – Adobe enterprise, MuleSoft Cloud Integratio
• Deploy and manage containerized application in a cloud environment.
• Understands clustered container orchestration configuration and setup of Kubernetes / OpenShift platform.
• Work with cloud vendors and cloud hosting service providers and recommend infrastructure solutions.
• Experience implementing security and best practices for cloud-based systems.
• Experience deploying Containers, Microservices, Kubernetes, etc. both in on-prem and cloud.
• Experience in deploying infrastructure as code using Azure CI/CD Pipe lines from Azure repos
